In the year 1202, a powerful army led by the three vampire elders—Markus, Viktor, and Amelia—descends upon a village inhabited by Werewolves. Their mission is to capture William Corvinus, Markus’s twin brother and the first and most formidable werewolf. Despite Markus’s fierce defiance, Viktor orders that William be imprisoned forever in a secret location, setting the stage for a centuries-long conflict.

The Present Day: Selene’s Quest

Fast forward to the present day, where vampire Selene takes Michael to a safe house, determined to confront the vampire regent Kraven. Her goal is to prevent Kraven from killing Markus, who has awakened from his long slumber. In a shocking turn of events, Markus kills Kraven and his men, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.

Meanwhile, Lorenz Macaro, an elderly immortal and the forefather of both the vampire and Lycan races, sends a team to investigate the aftermath of the battle in the Lycans’ lair. During his examination of Viktor’s corpse, Macaro discovers a metal disc that matches a pendant once worn by Sonja. The other half of this pendant is now in Michael’s possession, following Lucian’s death.

Markus’s Pursuit and the Search for Answers

Using the knowledge gained from Kraven’s blood, Markus tracks down Selene and Michael, launching an attack on them. However, they manage to evade him and find refuge in a warehouse. It is here that Selene and Michael share their feelings, deepening their bond. Aware of the pendant’s significance to Markus, they embark on a quest to uncover its mystery.

Selene recalls seeing the pendant in her childhood but cannot grasp its importance. Their journey leads them to the hideout of Andreas Tanis, an exiled vampire historian. Tanis reveals that Markus is the first vampire, one of the three sons of Alexander Corvinus, the original immortal. While Markus was transformed into a vampire by a bat, William became a werewolf after being bitten by a wolf. The third son remained human, leading to a lineage of mortal descendants, including Michael, the first Lycan-Vampire hybrid.

The Dark History of the Vampire-Lycan War

Tanis explains that the first werewolves created by William were entirely feral, unable to revert to their human forms. Due to William’s destructive nature, Markus approached Viktor, a dying mortal warlord, offering to transform him and his army into vampires in exchange for tracking down and stopping William. Viktor, misled into believing that killing the brothers would lead to the extinction of all vampires and Lycans, refrained from doing so.

Tanis further reveals that Selene’s father was the architect of William’s prison, and the pendant is the key to its location. Viktor murdered Selene’s family because they knew where the prison was hidden, but he transformed Selene into a vampire, encoding the prison’s location in her blood. After this revelation, Tanis directs Selene and Michael to seek help from Macaro.

Confrontation with Alexander Corvinus

Upon visiting Macaro, Selene and Michael discover that he is none other than Alexander Corvinus himself. Alexander has dedicated his immortal life to keeping the Vampire-Lycan war a secret and refuses to assist Selene in her quest to kill his sons. Just then, Markus arrives, engaging Michael in a fierce battle and mortally wounding Alexander before learning the location of William’s prison by drinking Selene’s blood.

Markus reveals his sinister plan to rule the world alongside William as the master of a new race of vampire-Lycan hybrids. At Alexander’s urging, Selene drinks his blood, enhancing her strength and healing abilities to match that of a hybrid. In a final act of sacrifice, Alexander detonates his ship, taking his own life.

The Final Showdown: Selene vs. Markus

Now aboard Alexander’s helicopter, Selene leads a team to the prison, only to find that Markus has already freed William. In the ensuing battle, Michael, presumed dead and carried aboard the helicopter, awakens in his hybrid form and joins the fight. He ultimately kills William by ripping his head off, showcasing the power of the Lycan-Vampire hybrid.

Selene then confronts Markus in a brutal hand-to-hand combat, ultimately defeating him by pushing him into the rotor blades of the crashed helicopter. This climactic battle marks a significant turning point in the ongoing war between vampires and werewolves.
