When Sadashiv is injured, their mother takes him for help, leaving Vinayak to confront the chained woman who hungers for him. Fifteen years later, Vinayak returns to Tumbbad, driven by his desire to escape poverty. The old woman still resides, her body intertwined with a tree, offering Vinayak the chance to unlock Sarkar’s treasure. Within the goddess’ womb lies Hastar and his hoard of gold. Through cunning and courage, Vinayak steals from Hastar, accumulating wealth while keeping his actions secret from others.
