Plot Summary

Gary King, an immature 40-year-old alcoholic, decides to recapture his youth by contacting his boyhood friends Oliver Chamberlain, Peter Page, Steven Prince, and Andrew Knightley. He invites them to complete the “Golden Mile”, a pub crawl encompassing the 12 pubs of their hometown of Newton Haven, with the last pub being the World’s End. The group originally attempted the crawl as teens in 1990 but failed to reach the final three pubs.

Unexpected Encounter

During the crawl, the group encounters androids that have replaced the residents of Newton Haven. As they fight off the androids, they learn about a conspiracy to assimilate humanity into a galactic conglomerate. Despite the danger, Gary urges them to continue the pub crawl to avoid suspicion and uncovers dark secrets about their town.

Final Confrontation

In the climax at The World’s End pub, the group faces off against the Network, an alien entity behind the invasion.
