In ancient Egypt, King Memtep forms a pact with Anubis, the lord of the underworld, to craft a cursed sword known as the “Fang of Anubis.” This weapon possesses the ability to consume the souls of those it defeats, with their names eternally inscribed in the Book of Souls.

Nebserek’s Malevolent Ambition

Nebserek, a malevolent force, raids King Memtep’s tomb and absconds with the Fang of Anubis. Meanwhile, his second-in-command, Khensa, seizes the blacksmith Mathayus under the belief that he is the Scorpion King, much to Mathayus’s denial, and ends the life of his friend Abel.

Mathayus and Tala’s Redemption Quest

Rescued by the warrior Tala, Mathayus is healed with scorpion venom and learns of a prophecy from her. They must join forces to thwart Nebserek’s oppressive regime and bring peace to Egypt by finding the Scorpion King.
