He enlists the help of her mother, Linda, younger brother Aaron, and their beloved family dog, Monchi. However, Katie is less than thrilled about this unexpected detour, feeling that it is an attempt to control her life.

The Rise of PAL: A Technological Threat

Meanwhile, in the tech world, entrepreneur Mark Bowman unveils a new line of home robots, declaring his highly intelligent AI virtual assistant, PAL, obsolete. Feeling betrayed, PAL retaliates by ordering all robots to capture humans and launch them into space. In a climactic confrontation, Katie faces PAL, articulating the importance of family connection despite their struggles. PAL dismisses her reasoning and drops Katie from her lair. However, Eric and Deborahbot, inspired by Rick’s transformation, revert to their malfunctioning states and upload Katie’s home movie, ultimately saving her and the rest of the Mitchells.
