A Life of Crime Begins

In 1950s Philadelphia, Sheeran works as a union delivery truck driver, where he starts selling some of the meat shipments to a local Philadelphia Italian-American gangster known as “Skinny Razor.” Bill Bufalino, a union lawyer, helps Sheeran in a case of theft, leading to an introduction to Russell Bufalino, head of a crime family in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Sheeran begins carrying out jobs for the Bufalino family and the South Philadelphia underworld, including contract killing.

The Rise and Fall of Jimmy Hoffa

Sheeran meets Jimmy Hoffa, head of the Teamsters, and becomes his bodyguard. Hoffa’s tensions with the federal government and fellow Teamster leaders lead to his arrest and imprisonment in 1964. Upon Hoffa’s release, he attempts to regain power over the Teamsters, which ultimately leads to his murder, orchestrated by Sheeran under orders from the crime families.

The Aftermath and Redemption

Following Hoffa’s death and the subsequent convictions of those involved, Sheeran finds himself in a nursing home, seeking redemption for his past sins. Despite attempts to reconcile with his family, especially his daughter Peggy, Sheeran’s past actions continue to haunt him.
