During the next community service session, Harry invites Robbie to a whisky tasting in Edinburgh. Mo overhears and insists on joining, along with Albert and Rhino. Reluctantly, Harry agrees, and they embark on a journey that introduces them to the world of rare whiskies, including the priceless Malt Mill, which is set to go on auction soon. Robbie receives a business card from a whisky collector, Thaddeus (Roger Allam), hinting at future opportunities.

After the tasting, Mo reveals she has stolen documents detailing the warehouse where the Malt Mill is stored. However, Robbie, determined to stay on the right path for Leonie and Luke, refuses to engage in criminal activities. He and Leonie explore a flat they could rent, but the threat of Clancy’s men looms over them, forcing Robbie to reconsider his options.

Realizing he cannot live under constant threat, Robbie devises a plan to steal the Malt Mill with his community service partners. They secure an invitation to the tasting and auction, where Robbie sneaks off to siphon whisky into empty Irn-Bru bottles. He witnesses Thaddeus attempting to bribe Angus Dobie (David Goodall) for the whisky, but Dobie refuses, leading Robbie to top up the cask with cheaper whisky.

At the auction, Robbie’s group sees Thaddeus outbid by an American, who seems satisfied with the diluted blend. After the auction, Robbie approaches Thaddeus to negotiate a sale of three bottles for £200,000 and a job. However, during their journey home, they accidentally break two bottles during a police encounter, leading to a tense negotiation where Robbie sells one bottle for £100,000 and secures a permanent job away from Glasgow.

A Bittersweet Farewell
