Richard Hannay is at a London music hall theatre, witnessing “Mr. Memory” showcase his impressive recall abilities when gunshots ring out. Amidst the chaos, Hannay ends up with an apprehensive woman named Annabella Smith in tow, who reveals herself as a spy evading assassins. She discloses a conspiracy to steal crucial British military intelligence orchestrated by an individual missing part of a finger.
