The Transformation of Takeshi Hongo

Motorcyclist Takeshi Hongo is captured by the Sustainable Happiness Organization with Computational Knowledge Embedded Remodeling (SHOCKER). They convert humans into brainwashed synthetic animal hybrids known as Augments, or Augs. Hongo becomes Grasshopper-Aug 01 but is rescued by Ruriko Midorikawa, a former SHOCKER member.

A New Purpose as Kamen Rider

After escaping SHOCKER’s clutches, Hongo learns of his destiny from Dr. Midorikawa. He harnesses superhuman strength through the life force prana and vows to use his powers for good as “Kamen Rider.” Partnering with Ruriko, they join forces to take down SHOCKER.
