Tensions rise when Nicole’s landlord threatens eviction due to Channing. Max steps in to help, leading to a temporary living arrangement. Their relationship faces more hurdles when outside conflicts arise, but they work through them and become closer.
After overcoming various obstacles, Max and Nicole’s relationship blossoms. They embark on a road trip together for Nicole’s art school interview, which results in unexpected success. With the combined efforts of both humans and dogs, they celebrate their growing family with a party.
