Mothra Watch Online: The Epic Tale of a Giant Guardian

In the mysterious waters off Infant Island, a site once thought to be uninhabited and used for Rolisican atomic tests, a dramatic event unfolds. The Daini-Gen’you-Maru, a ship caught in the chaos of a fierce typhoon, runs aground. Following the storm, a rescue party discovers four sailors alive, remarkably unharmed by radiation sickness. This anomaly is attributed to the juice provided by the island’s native inhabitants.

Uncovering the Mystery: Zenichiro Fukuda and Michi Hanamura

The story is brought to light by the determined reporter Zenichiro Fukuda and his companion, photographer Michi Hanamura. They infiltrate a hospital where the survivors are being examined, seeking to uncover the truth behind their miraculous survival. Their investigation leads to a significant response from the Rolisican Embassy, which co-sponsors a scientific expedition to Infant Island.

The Expedition to Infant Island: A Quest for Knowledge

Led by the ambitious capitalist Clark Nelson, the expedition includes radiation specialist Dr. Harada, linguist and anthropologist Shin’ichi Chūjō, and the stowaway reporter Fukuda. Chūjō, having studied the cultures of the surrounding islands, deciphers a key hieroglyph in their written language—a radiant cross-shaped star that translates to “Mothra.” As the team explores the island, they encounter a vast jungle filled with mutated flora, a fleeing native tribe, and two tiny women, only twelve inches tall, who save Chūjō from a deadly vampire plant.

The Shobijin: Guardians of the Island

These small beauties, dubbed the “Shobijin” by Fukuda, plead for their island to be spared from further atomic testing. The team acknowledges their message and decides to keep their findings a secret from the public. However, Clark Nelson has other plans. He returns to the island with a crew of henchmen, abducting the Shobijin and ruthlessly gunning down several natives who attempt to rescue them.

The Secret Fairies Show: Exploitation and Desperation

In Tokyo, Nelson profits from a “Secret Fairies Show” featuring the girls singing, while both the Shobijin and the island natives beseech their god, Mothra, a giant egg, for assistance. Fukuda, Hanamura, and Chūjō manage to communicate with the girls through telepathy. They express their unwavering belief that Mothra will come to their aid, warning that “good people are sure to be hurt.” Meanwhile, Fukuda’s newspaper accuses Nelson of holding the girls against their will, prompting Nelson to file a libel suit against the publication.

Mothra’s Awakening: A Giant Caterpillar Emerges

As tensions rise, the egg on the island hatches, revealing Mothra as a colossal caterpillar. Mothra begins her journey across the Pacific Ocean toward Japan, destroying a cruise ship and surviving a napalm attack as she makes her way to Tokyo. The Rolisican Embassy, however, defends Nelson’s property rights over the Shobijin, ignoring the impending threat posed by the monster.

The Destruction of Tokyo: Mothra’s Path of Fury

Upon reaching the Japanese mainland, Mothra proves impervious to the barrage of weaponry aimed at her. She constructs a cocoon in the ruins of Tokyo Tower, and public sentiment shifts against Nelson, leading to demands for the girls’ release. In a desperate attempt to escape, Nelson flees incognito to Rolisica, concealing the Shobijin in a suitcase. However, Mothra, now transformed into her imago form, resumes her search for the girls.

The Final Confrontation: Justice for the Shobijin

As Mothra wreaks havoc in New Kirk City, police launch a manhunt for Nelson. In a dramatic turn of events, Nelson is recognized by civilians while attempting to flee, resulting in a deadly shootout with the police. The Shobijin are finally assigned to Chūjō’s care, and as church bells begin to ring, sunlight illuminates the cross atop the steeple, reminding Chūjō and Hanamura of Mothra’s unique symbol and the girls’ voices.

Attracting Mothra: A Plan to Save the Shobijin

In a bid to attract Mothra, Chūjō suggests ringing numerous church bells simultaneously. This plan aims to guide Mothra to an airport runway, where her symbol has been painted. The girls are successfully
