In 2020, the Mars I mission launches for planet Mars under the command of Luke Graham. Upon arrival, the team discovers a bright white formation in the Cydonia region, suspected to be an extrusion from a subsurface geothermal column of water, crucial for future human colonization.

The Mysterious Formation

After reporting their findings to the Earth-orbiting World Space Station, the team investigates the formation and begins hearing a low sound on their communications system. Radar indicates the formation is metal, but a large vortex appears, killing everyone except Luke and revealing a large humanoid face.

Rescue Mission to Mars

An electromagnetic pulse created by the event is observed by the space station, prompting a distress message from Luke. The Mars II mission is repurposed into a rescue operation, with Commander Woody Blake leading the team consisting of Terri Fisher, Jim McConnell, and Phil Ohlmyer.

Months later, near Mars orbit, the team faces challenges as their ship, Mars II, is damaged and they are forced to abandon ship. Woody sacrifices himself to save Terri when the engines explode, and the survivors make it to the Martian surface to repair the ERV.

The Revelation on Mars

Luke reveals crucial information about the mysterious face formation, including a 3D model of human-like DNA with missing chromosomes. The team sends a signal to complete the sequence, leading to an opening in the structure and a startling discovery about the planet Mars and its inhabitants.

The Final Escape

As a massive dust storm approaches, the team must make a critical decision to escape. Jim accepts an invitation to follow the Martians to their new home, bidding farewell to Terri and Luke. Phil is ordered to launch the ERV before the storm hits, and the team narrowly escapes into space as Jim’s capsule heads towards the Martians’ home.
