Minuscule 2: Mandibles from Far Away – Full Movie Synopsis

Years after the events of the first film, Cox and his family live in a valley in southeastern France. One day, Junior, eager for independence, sets off on his own with an apple he found. However, a gang of flies led by Toofete steals the apple, surviving due to their ability to return from the afterlife. Cox leads a chase that ends with the flies getting trapped on a spider’s web and crashing to their demise. Cox and Junior return home to hibernate for the winter.

The Jungle Chase and Separation

Later that night, Mandible and his patrol attack a grocery store for food, but red ants and Butor seek revenge against Cox and Mandible. During a chase into a shipping factory, Mandible uses his antennae to call for Cox, who awakens from hibernation and sets off with Junior. The ensuing fight leads to the red ants ending up in a box of chestnuts for shipment, with Junior getting trapped in a box bound for Guadeloupe in the Caribbean.

Rescue Mission to Guadeloupe

Cox leaves Mandible and embarks on a journey to Guadeloupe to rescue Junior. While lost in the jungle, Junior faces various dangers, eventually getting stuck in a spider’s web. Cox arrives to save Junior, along with new insect friends, including a black ladybug named Coco. Cox and Coco narrowly escape with a comatose Junior.

Reunion and Escape

After a ritual by Coco’s colony helps Junior regain consciousness, Cox and Junior bond with their newfound friends. They face new challenges when construction workers threaten their home, forcing them to devise a plan. With help from old and new friends, they outsmart the construction workers, leading to the area being declared a caterpillar-infested zone.

Finally, the gang parts ways with their friends to return home for hibernation, while Junior decides to stay behind with Coco. In a mid-credits scene, the antagonist Butor begins plotting revenge against Cox and Mandible in a faraway restaurant in Beijing, China.
