Rell and Clarence’s Mission

Rell’s life is changed forever when a cute kitten comes to his door, and he names it Keanu. Unfortunately, one weekend later, Keanu is abducted by persons unknown. Now Rell and his cousin, Clarence, are men on a mission to find Keanu against the odds. Unfortunately, those odds prove to be perilously high as they find Keanu in the care of the ruthless gangster, Cheddar, and he will only part with him for a price. Now for that cute kitten, these two middle class bumblers find themselves neck deep in a dangerous alien world of drugs and gang violence with only their desperate audacity, creativity and sheer dumb luck giving them a chance to survive.

The Search for Keanu

Clarence (Keegan-Michael Key) is a conservative suburbanite with a wife and child. His cousin, Rell (Jordan Peele), is a bong-smoking slacker. Then one day Rell finds a kitten on his doorstep and immediately takes it in. He names the kitten Keanu. A few weeks later, in a case of mistaken identity, members of the Blips drug gang break into his house, ransack it and take Keanu. Rell and Clarence set off into Blips territory to recover Keanu.

A Dangerous Adventure

Just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse, the freshly dumped underachiever, Rell, finds Keanu–the adorable and fluffy kitten of an L.A. drug kingpin–practically on his doorstep. As Rell and his cousin, Clarence, instantly bond with their newly found feline friend, Keanu’s sudden disappearance will force the amateur private investigators to comb the dangerous suburbs of Los Angeles, going deep into the impenetrable territory of the notorious 17th Street Blips gang. Now, all Rell and Clarence need is a new gangsta persona and a pair of bad-ass nicknames to outsmart Cheddar, the gang’s infamous leader, and his team of itchy-fingered gunslingers.
