In 1993, Rajakannu and Sengeni, a couple from the Irula tribe, worked in the fields of oppressive caste men to control rats and snakes. Rajakannu is accused of theft, and the police unlawfully detain and torture their family to extract information. Sengeni seeks justice for her husband with the help of Mythra and Chandru, a lawyer.
Chandru files a habeas corpus case but faces hurdles in court proceedings. As the case unfolds, the truth about the police officers’ perjury and corruption comes to light. With perseverance, Chandru and his team uncover evidence that leads to the arrest of the guilty policemen.
After a long legal battle, the court rules in favor of justice. Sengeni receives compensation for her loss, and Rajakannu’s dream of a new home for his wife is fulfilled. The community celebrates the victory against injustice, thanks to Chandru and his dedication to the truth.
