Plot Summary

Three years after the events of the first film, the inventor Wayne Szalinski has moved to Nevada with his wife Diane and their children. Their older son Nick is now a teenager, their daughter Amy is preparing to leave for college, and their younger son, Adam, is two years old. When Diane leaves with Amy to help her settle into her college dorm, Wayne and Nick are left in charge of Adam.

Adam’s Enlargement

Wayne takes Adam to Sterling Labs, where he tests a version of his shrink ray machine on Adam’s favorite toy, Big Bunny. However, the machine short-circuits and Adam is accidentally zapped, causing him to grow to a height of seven feet. Wayne and Nick attempt to reverse the process, but face challenges from Wayne’s colleague, Dr. Charles Hendrickson, who has ulterior motives.

Escalating Situations

As Adam continues to grow uncontrollably, Wayne and Diane must race against time to find a way to shrink him back to normal size. With the help of their son Nick and a babysitter named Mandy, they navigate through chaotic situations as Adam reaches over a hundred feet in height and causes mass panic in Las Vegas.

Final Showdown

In a climactic scene, Diane is also enlarged with Wayne’s machine and helps to calm Adam down. With a combination of sedatives and a new plan, they are able to successfully shrink Adam back to normal size. Wayne and Diane also rescue Nick and Mandy, who had been shrunk in Adam’s pocket during the chaos.
