25-year-old Gypsy Vale (Sara Rue) and 18-year-old Clive Webb (Kett Turton) are two goths living in Sandusky, Ohio. Gypsy’s parents, Ray (John Doe) and Velvet (Marlene Wallace), once formed a band, and Gypsy dreams of following in her idol, Stevie Nicks’, footsteps as a famous singer. However, her mother’s disappearance leaves her hesitant to pursue her ambitions and leave her father behind.
While browsing a Stevie Nicks fansite, Clive stumbles upon the Night of a Thousand Stevies event in New York. After a heartfelt discussion with Gypsy’s father, the truth about her mother’s departure unfolds – she left to chase her own musical dreams. Encouraged by Clive, Gypsy finally decides to embark on the journey to New York.
During their travels, Gypsy and Clive meet a hitchhiker named Zechariah, claiming to escape his Amish background. As the trio spends the night at a rest stop, unexpected confessions and connections unfold. Emotions run high as attractions surface and decisions are made, leading to unforeseen consequences.
