Elina and her friend Dandelion discover that Topaz, one of Fairytopia’s beloved guardians, has been kidnapped. The villain behind this sinister act is none other than Laverna, the evil twin sister of the benevolent Enchantress who rules Fairytopia. Laverna has poisoned her sister and plans to capture all seven guardians, spreading her mist-like formula across the land to weaken the winged creatures.
As dawn breaks, Elina and Bibble awaken to find their flower home, Peony, and the other fairies in the meadow suffering from Laverna’s toxic mist. Determined to help, Elina, Dandelion, and Bibble set out to seek assistance from the nearest guardian, Azura. However, their journey takes a turn when Dandelion accidentally inhales Laverna’s formula and is forced to return home, unable to fly.
After being turned away from Azura’s home, Elina and Bibble decide to sneak in. They are discovered by Azura, who notices the rainbow in Elina’s eye—a sign of her potential for greatness. Despite Azura’s encouragement, Elina struggles with self-doubt. Azura reveals that Fairytopia is in peril and asks Elina to care for her magic necklace before she departs to consult a dryad named Dahlia, a former ally of Laverna.
Just as Azura is about to leave, she is kidnapped by a Fungus, one of Laverna’s henchmen. Elina wakes up to find herself accused of Azura’s disappearance but is saved by Hue, a giant butterfly. Meanwhile, Laverna is furious to learn that Azura’s necklace is missing, realizing that a wingless fairy like Elina could be immune to her formula.
As Elina and Hue flee from Laverna’s firebirds, they receive help from Prince Nalu, a merman who provides them with seaweed that allows them to breathe underwater. Together, they reach Dahlia’s home, where she is initially hesitant to assist due to the mistrust of the other guardians. However, Elina’s determination convinces Dahlia to help them.
Dahlia reveals Laverna’s sinister plan to drain the powers from the fairy guardians’ necklaces and transfer them to herself. She explains that the “union point” is the key to Laverna’s power. With this knowledge, Elina and her friends devise a plan to confront Laverna and find the union point.
As they approach Laverna’s lair, Elina insists on going in alone, believing that her possession of Azura’s necklace gives her an advantage. While her friends create a distraction, Elina sneaks inside, only to find the guardians and her friends captured by the Fungi. Laverna offers to release them in exchange for Azura’s necklace, but Elina refuses.
In a moment of temptation, Laverna promises Elina wings if she returns the necklace. Under her spell, Elina begins to walk towards Laverna, but Azura’s voice breaks through the trance. Realizing the truth, Elina rejects Laverna’s offer and hurls the necklace at the union point, shattering it. The guardians’ powers surge forth, overwhelming Laverna and causing her to vanish.
With Laverna defeated, the Magic Meadow is restored, and the fairies and flowers are healed. The Enchantress, now recovered, thanks Elina and her friends for their bravery and rewards Elina with a magic necklace that grants her a pair of beautiful wings. Overjoyed, Elina and her friends take to the skies, celebrating their victory together.
