Plot Summary

Not knowing the other beyond the general categorization of each other as the black dude and the white kid, respectively, Gabe and Alec routinely see each other when they go for their individual therapy sessions in the same building every Wednesday, Alec always accompanied by his grandmother. Early thirty-something personal trainer Gabe has only been in therapy for a few months in the aftermath of his latest “temporary break” with Millie, who he thinks he loves, with their relationship problems seemingly stemming from societal expectations most specifically of marriage and kids – the forevers – for Gabe regardless of it is with Millie or anyone else. Conversely, he has jealousy issues in he believing he being compared to one of his clients, famous rock guitarist Patrick Nelson, who was referred to him by Millie in Pat being her ex-fiancé. With Alec stating that his elderly grandmother forgot to pick him up and that he has no way of contacting her, Gabe offers him a ride home wherever home is.
