Plot Summary

In the 22nd century, after a devastating world war, veterans Deunan Knute and Briareos are living in the ruins of New York doing jobs for a cyborg despot named Two Horns. Deunan hopes to find the legendary utopic city of Olympus, while Briareos is more pessimistic. However, their plans are constantly sabotaged as they try to finish their tasks.

Meeting New Allies

While eliminating rogue combat drones, Deunan and Briareos meet Olson, a cybernetics-equipped soldier, and a young girl named Iris. They discover that Briareos’ systems have been sabotaged to keep them under Two Horns’ control. Soon after, two cyborgs named Talos and Nyx appear, forcing our heroes to join forces with their new friends.

The Fight Against Evil

As they travel together, Iris and Olson reveal they are from Olympus on a mission to dispose of leftover weapons. Talos has developed a messiah complex and plans to use Iris to take control of these weapons. Deunan and Briareos must confront Talos, with the help of Two Horns and Mattews, to stop a deadly superweapon from destroying New York.

The Final Showdown

Deunan and Briareos fight their way into a secret bunker where the superweapon is activated by Iris’ retinal pattern. With the help of their allies, they confront Talos and face a challenging battle to save the city. In a selfless act, Briareos sacrifices himself to destroy the weapon and save New York.

After their victory, Deunan and Briareos depart for Olympus with their debts absolved and a restored exosuit gifted to them. Unbeknownst to them, they have attracted the attention of Officer Hitomi, Iris’ human template, who sees hope in their actions.
