The dictator seizes the B.R.A.I.N. and turns it into the Fabrication Machine, which eventually declares war on all biological life on Earth.

After the Fabrication Machine’s corruption, the scientist creates nine rag dolls known as Stitchpunks, each infused with a portion of his soul. The last doll, 9, awakens in a devastated city and joins forces with other Stitchpunks to stop the machines.
